Should I populate this place with all the photos I saved? ok.

 

tested adding grass. it became fur. if settings were adjusted properly, could have been nice, but supposedly extends rendering time, which i had no patience for.

 

quality vs. rendering time. first one was without gather points; 2nd, with gather points set on draft.

 

 

oh, look: my project 1 made a cameo!

 

test rendering lighting for the walking down stairs scene. can see the glass bocor up there. fixed that.

blowing up the glass. looks like some alien power. wuuu~~

in retrospect, this is actually a nice angle. but i was afraid of blowing up the camera. ah well.

Looking good. But lemme tell you, staring at a computer screen for hours can really mess up your head. Like, really. *Breathes*

Attempt no. 1

Tried drawing then extruding the walls. Realized I was doing it the wrong way.

Delete and start again from scratch!

 

I'm starting to think that constructing in 3dsmax is all about method. Once you plan what you wanna do properly, the rest is just *click click click*.

The switch

So I gotsa problem. My Fallingwater won't let me edit it without hanging (or drowning). So I can't add further context, or do the interior. :OO

Solution: do my final project last sem. I didn't want to initially, coz I thought it was too simple. But I've kinda got no choice now, seeing I don't possibly have the time to study a completely new building. Oh well, maybe I can focus on detail. Hope it pays off.

Decided to change my building. That was mad.

 

An interesting method? But seems to work great so far. 

 

Perks of doing a building you've already studied and stared at for hours, you seem to do it pretty fast. ^_^

Played with lighting today.

Made a glass vase. It's standing on ceramic tiles under a 2pm sun.

Everything looks better when it's stylised.

Hmm... Maybe it's not too bad. (Maybe I'm delusional. lol) Still needs tweeking though.
