Saw a friend import a reference picture to 3ds max and traced it, so I decided to forego my duck tail and try this method instead. (Since the duck tail seemed too tedious anyway.
Traced the front elevation (considering where the lines would look like in 3D) then moved points on the NURBS curves to fit the side elevation (which i imported as well in a different viewport). Then I added to U loft to the wing, and viola.
I think it looks pretty good so far, just a little paper thin. Hopefully I can fix that. That shall be it for the night.
